About me

I am Marcel and I photograph landscapes. Over the years I tried most genres – this is the one that stuck. The quiet and the practically unlimited room for composition are what keep me there.

It started in 2019 with a first trip to Iceland. I have been back repeatedly since, six times by now, and have seen the island in every season. Autumn is my favourite – the light stays low, the colours turn, and the peak season is over.

The trip I remember most is 2020. Germany was one of the few countries allowed to enter, and the island was emptier than a summer ever gets. You do not get those conditions twice.

This site shows my portfolio – Iceland, plus landscapes from Europe and built structure from several cities. Selected images are available as prints.
